If fosters are the lifeblood of animal rescue, then fundraising must be the backbone that holds them up! Straight, sweet and simple it takes money to pay vet bills and purchase food and supplies!
This year, there is a fundraising opportunity for all animal rescues that are participating in the 2014 Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Program! Look at what I found on the Home for the Holidays 2014 Site!
Most Heartwarming Story Contest will award $1,000
One lucky animal organization, participating in this year’s Blue Buffalo Home 4 the Holidays campaign, will receive a $1,000 donation for sharing their most heartwarming pet adoption story. To be eligible for this prize the adoption must take place between October 1, 2014, and January 2, 2015, and must include at least one high resolution photo of the pet and/or family. Be sure to enter‐to‐win by telling us the best stories your organization sees during the 2014 campaign. Please see below for details on how to enter.
Story Contest Details
Every week during the Blue Buffalo Home 4 the Holidays campaign (October 1, 2014 – January 2, 2015), participating animal organizations are encouraged to enter heartwarming adoption success stories. Submissions can be made weekly by snail mail, email, or tweeting #BBH4TH, and at the end of each week Helen Woodward Animal Center will select a featured story to be featured on our blog, Pause For Tails. Your story may also be featured on Helen Woodward Animal Center’s and Blue Buffalo’s social media!
After the campaign ends on January 2, 2015, the weekly story submissions will be narrowed down by a panel of judges. Those finalists’ stories will then be voted on by the public and our grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 donation to their organization.
The winner will be announced in February, 2015, and will be contacted via phone or email. The winner will also be announced on Helen Woodward Animal Center’s blog.

What time is it? If your organization has not already signed up for the Home for the Holidays adoption program, it is time to have a second look at this program which actually runs from October 1st until the second of January, 2015. If you are one of the many Nova Scotia Rescue groups who have already signed up, it is time to find a volunteer to send in a story every week 🙂
