I love decorating for Yule! Lets face it … my house is really not all that different from my neighbours! Between the tree , the baking and the candles … the house always smells lovely enough to drive the cold winter away!
Who does not love holiday traditions? They are sweet as pulled taffy and brighten the darkest days of the year! Some we ‘inherit from our childhood … and others we weave into our own!
Atlantic Small Dog Rescue has started a lovely little holiday tradition! Every year they choose one of their adorable adoptables to be their “Christmas Dog”! Does this mean that Santa will get a new helper? That the reindeer will have to make room?
Of course not! It simply means that the adoption fee will be waived for the person who opens their home and their heart to The Christmas Dog!
Who is this years lucky pooch? Why it is beautiful Mia … who is long on beautiful behavior and people skills but not quite so keen on her own kind. Here in the real world … where most ‘sensible’ folks only ever have one dog at a time … that is not really an obstacle of any sort, eh?
What time is it? It is always time to herald a holiday tradition as sweet as this one!
